Every once in a while, Makapu’u offers some fun waves on Oahu.  When town is small and we know there are some wind swells, we take trips to the East side.  Only draw back is that you cannot surf there when lifeguards are around, so we need to go there in the morning or after 5pm.

What an action packed 2 days!  Sea Hawaii held it’s Pipeline Women’s 1 star QS and 2 star Pro Jr event on one day and North Shore Surfshop held its Men’s Pipeline 2 star Pro Jr event the next day.  The swell direction was little weird so the actual event was held at Gums instead of Pipe.  Due to a storm we had water was brown and waves were choppy at times but over all, they scored some great waves.
